Steps
1.
Measuring & Marking the Strips: Once we take the measurement of the walls from the floor to the ceiling. We should add 10 more cm to the taken measurements
and mark the spot on the wallpaper. The reason for this is to prevent the imperfections which might occur.
2.
Cutting the Strips: Let’s use a scale model knife to cut the marked area. When we are cutting patterned wallpapers, we should take into consideration
the continuity of the patterns.
3.
Applying Paste: Once we have completed preparing our wallpaper strips we may carry on to the pasting stage. In order to do this, let’s spread
our wallpaper strips onto the table and begin applying the paste evenly with a paste brush.
4.
Folding the Ends: Let’s gently fold the glued sides together. The reason for this is to soften the wallpaper.
5.
Hanging the Strips: Please keep in mind that in order for us to hang the strips, our walls would need to be dry and clean. We position our wallpaper
onto the ceiling first, and then we carefully move downwards.
6.
Removing Trapped Air: Once we have pasted our wallpaper onto the wall, let’s remove the trapped air with an air removal brush. We do this simply
by moving the brush from the top to the bottom of the wall in reverse V movements.
7.
Marking the Area to Cut: Let’s mark the point we are going to cut by pressing our scissors where the ceiling meets the wall.
8.
Cutting the Excess Upper Part: Let’s peel the wallpaper off the wall a little bit and begin cutting the marked area.
9.
Cutting the Excess Bottom Part: First let’s mark the area where the wall meets the baseboards with scissors. Then we should cut this marked area.
10.
Measuring Inside Corners: While turning the corners, we should take into consideration the dimensions. In order to do this, let’s first measure the
distance in between the corners and then cut our wallpaper accordingly.
11.
Hanging Inside Corner Strips: Let’s hang the strip, beginning from the ceiling and work our way down. While making sure that the pattern strips are matching.
12.
Hanging Outside Corner Strip: We turn the corner easily while once again taking into consideration the continuity of the patterns. If we are turning a
convex corner, then we should be leaving a margin of 4-5 cm.
