If we do not have teak oil, we can also maintain our furniture with water. As teak furniture is made up of natural wood; it
needs water. Under excess sunlight, our furniture may crack as humidity ratio falls down. In order to prevent this, we can
sprinkle water on our furniture once or twice a week.
1.
Sanding the table: Before sanding, we should clean the table either by using a teak wood cleaning product, or wash it with warm water and soap.
If we wash it with water, we should wait for it to dry, and then begin sanding. When sanding is finished, it is recommended
to use a clean and dry cotton cloth to clean any left-over dust. We need to ensure the wood is clean and dry before we apply
teak oil.
2.
Applying teak oil: Let’s mix and shake our teak oil, then pour the amount that will be used into a container. We should apply the teak oil
to the entire table with the use of an oil paint brush or roll brush.
3.
Wiping off with a cotton cloth: After waiting for 15 minutes, let’s wipe off the excess teak oil with a cotton cloth. If a second coat is needed, we should
wait at least one hour before the next coat to let the wood absorb the teak oil. We should wait for 24 hours before using
the table.
