Changing the Gasket of the Faucet Head

If the gasket of the faucet head has not been replaced for a long period of time water will leak. Changing the gasket will save water and increase the life span of the faucet.

Combination wrench, screwdriver
Steps
1.
Taking out the caps of the faucet head: Let’s begin by taking out the faucet caps of the faucet head with a screwdriver.
2.
Removing the screws: Once we have removed the faucet caps we may now remove the screws on the faucet head with a screwdriver.
3.
Taking out the heads of the faucet: After removing the screws we now pull out the faucet head.
4.
Taking out the gaskin: The gaskin seals the faucet heads to the faucet. We carefully take out the gaskin from the faucet with a combination wrench. It is important not to damage the gaskin.
5.
Taking out the gasket: Let’s now use a screwdriver to take out the obsolete gasket which is on top of the gaskin.
6.
Putting on the new gasket: After removing the old gasket we place the new gasket into the gaskin.
7.
Fixing the gaskin: We fix and tighten the gasket on with a combination wrench
8.
Fixing the faucet heads: Now with our hands we fix and tighten the heads to the faucet.
9.
Tightening the screws: Let’s now tigthen the screws on the faucet heads with a screwdriver.
10.
Putting on the caps: Once we tighten the screws, we now may place the caps on the faucet heads.
