Praktiker- the solution provider The German group Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG has an international network of more than 420 stores (more than 2 million sqm selling space), in 10 countries: Germany, Luxemburg, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. The total number of employees working for the group exceeds 27,000 and more than 10,000 of them work for the companies established outside Germany. In the origin country, as on all the other markets, the Praktiker group holds top positions in the DIY sector. In Romania, Praktiker is the market leader, with the largest network of specialized stores and the most dynamic rythm of expansion. Established in 2002, Praktiker Romania opened the first store in September, the same year, in Voluntari – Ilfov county. The company’s premises are also located in Voluntari. Since then, Praktiker Romania has been growing year by year, by adding new stores to the existing network and increasing the team. Now, the company has more than 2,800 employees and 27 stores throughout the country: Bucuresti – Voluntari, Bucuresti - Militari, Cluj-Napoca, Ploiesti, Timisoara, Brasov, Bacau, Oradea, Constanta, Craiova, Arad, Tirgu-Mures, Satu Mare, Braila, Bucuresti – Vitan, Baia Mare, Galati, Tirgoviste, Timisoara 2, Iasi, Deva, Pitesti, Iasi 2, Buzau, Piatra Neamt, Focsani and Botosani. The company’s network is at present the largest DIY network in Romania. The annual flow of clients reached to some millions and keeps the increasing trend. Praktiker offer comprises more than 40,000 products – building materials, decorations for interior and exterior, sanitary accessories, furniture, electronic products and home appliances, gardening products. Added to these, our company offers a wide range of adapted services that can be accessed right in the store: special orders, chromatic mixer for dyes, financial services, transport service, products return guarantee, wood cutting and sewing services. |
